چکیده

Grapevine leafroll disease (GLRD) is one of the most important viral diseases grapevine worldwide. The aim this study was to investigate prevelance associated virus-1 (GLRaV-1), leafroll-associated virus-2 (GLRaV-2), virus-3 (GLRaV-3), virus 4 (GLRaV-4), and virus-9 (GLRaV-9) in Tokat province Turkey. In 2018, leaf samples one-year-old shoots plants, showing virus-like symptoms, were collected from different vineyards Central, Erbaa, Niksar, Pazar districts province. Totally 197 obtained tested molecularly using two-step polymerase chain reaction (PCR) by virus-specific primers for GLRaV-1, GLRaV-2, GLRaV-3, GLRaV-4) GLRaV-9. At least 106 (53.80%) found be infected showed single or multiple infections. 103 (52.28%) resulted positive with GLRaV-1 while infection rates %5.18 GLRaV-3 10 samples, %2.53 GLRaV-4 5 %1.03 GLRaV-2 GLRaV-9 2 respectively. amplified PCR products sequenced, aligned MEGAX, analyzed BLAST comparisons other isolates GenBank. Sequence analysis viruses 94-96 % , 96-99 and, 99-100 nucleotide identity references GenBank UO3-3 isolate

Genetic variability of natural populations of Grapevine leafroll-associated virus 2 in Pacific Northwest vineyards.

Genetic variability of field populations of Grapevine leafroll-associated virus 2 (GLRaV-2) in Pacific Northwest (PNW) vineyards was characterized by sequencing the entire coat protein (CP) and a portion of the heat-shock protein-70 homolog (HSP70h) genes. Phylogenetic analysis of CP and HSP70h nucleotide sequences obtained in this study and corresponding sequences from GenBank revealed segrega...

Grapevine leafroll-associated virus 3

Grapevine leafroll disease (GLD) is one of the most important grapevine viral diseases affecting grapevines worldwide. The impact on vine health, crop yield, and quality is difficult to assess due to a high number of variables, but significant economic losses are consistently reported over the lifespan of a vineyard if intervention strategies are not implemented. Several viruses from the family...

Remote hyperspectral imaging of grapevine leafroll-associated virus 3 in cabernet sauvignon vineyards

Grapevine leafroll disease (GLD) is considered to be one of the most economically destructive viral diseases of grapevines worldwide, resulting in reduced vine vigor, yield reductions, and poor fruit quality. Five pathogens (grapevine leafroll-associated viruses) are recognized as causal agents of this disease, of which Grapevine leafroll-associated virus 3 (GLRaV-3) is the most common. Althoug...

Variability of the coat protein gene of Grapevine leafroll-associated virus 3 in Brazil

Leafroll is an economically important disease affecting grapevines (Vitis spp.). Nine serologically distinct viruses, Grapevine leafroll-associated virus-1 through 9, are associated with this disease. The present study describes the coat protein gene sequence of four GLRaV-3 isolates occurring in the São Francisco River basin, Northeastern Brazil. The viral RNA was extracted from GLRaV-3 ELISA-...

Occurrence of Grapevine Leafroll-Associated Virus Complex in Napa Valley

Grapevine leafroll disease (GLD) is caused by a complex of several virus species (grapevine leafroll-associated viruses, GLRaV) in the family Closteroviridae. Because of its increasing importance, it is critical to determine which species of GLRaV is predominant in each region where this disease is occurring. A structured sampling design, utilizing a combination of RT-PCR based testing and sequ...
